Dr. Kapadia has made many significant contributions to the field of cardiac surgery, including bringing the first left ventricular assist device (LVAD) to India, initiating the management of advanced heart failure through the development of a heart failure clinic and Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), and performing intramyocardial stem cell therapy and hybrid endovascular procedures.
